Lent and Holy Week

Beginning February 13 (Ash Wednesday) and continuing until Easter, Antigua Guatemala famously celebrates "Semana Santa" or Holy Week. Each town and church in and around Antigua, celebrates the tradition of lent with elaborate processions through the streets and displays of beautiful hand made carpets. 

We offer special programs of 12 and 15 hours of individual instruction Spanish classes during Holy Week. Classes will be on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Daily 4 hours: $90, 5 hours: $100

Includes one-on-one teacher, learning materials and special Holy Week activities in Antigua. Homestays that week will be from $85 to $200 for 7 nights, 9 meals and normal service.
